In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been taking a break from posting on this site. I haven’t forgotten about it or you.. I’ve just been preoccupied with family issues (nothing serious) and now political matters. Additionally, there hasn’t been much new to report in my family caregiver experience, yet I still have a backlog of a dozen or so articles that I want to write.
My wife’s situation is stable and mostly unchanged. My focus has been more on my teenage daughter, who is experiencing standard adolescent stuff, and now I am trying to ensure that she has a reasonable world to grow up in.
So, while I will still occasionally post to this site and may write a book one day, please look to my other site, OneVoiceForReason, for more regular musings. Don’t forget the great caregiver content at AARP and TevaPharm.
My heart goes out to all family caregivers and their loved ones. Family caregiving is both essential and exhausting, yet irreplaceable. Coupled with the uncertainty created by the current political situation, extraordinary resilience and patience are required to persevere. I’m here if you need me!
